Have you seen a fat fish? I haven’t. I want to be slim!
All of us drink water, yet not all of us are experiencing the slimming effects of water. Here’s the secret.
The general recommendation of water intake for an adult is 3.1 liters per day for men, and 2.7 liters per day for women. The amounts stated do not take into account the practice of physical exercise, climate and other factors.
To get a good estimate on the amount of water you should consume, multiply your weight by 0.03. Eg. An adult who weighs 70kg should consume 2.1 liters of water daily.
One tip: Bring a water bottle, preferably a measured bottle, so that you know how much you have consumed.
#2 Drink throughout the day
If you have the habit of drinking lots of water at night, pay attention to this. Drinking too much water at night causes water not to be absorbed, resulting in water retention. Water retention will cause your body to be bloated, bringing you further away from your goal of slimming down.
One tip: Drink 150ml of water after waking up. Doing so will hydrate your body and increase your metabolism.
Another tip: Add flavour. Instead of drinking plain water, you can add slices of lemon, ginger, fennel, or cinnamon! These additional ingredients are nutritious and increases metabolism too!
