Rihanna is well known for her powerful vocals. She has enjoyed so much success in her music career, winning 9 Grammy Awards, 13 American Music Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards and counting.
We can learn so much from the singer who brought us top hits such as Diamonds, Only Girl in the World and Umbrella. Rihanna is not only a singer, but also a songwriter, fashion designer, actress and businesswoman.
Let’s explore what shot her to stardom.
#1 Change is the only constant
Music, like fashion, is fleeting. Rihanna is in both industries. She had reinvented herself several times over the years and that helped her stay top.
To change constantly also means working very hard to stay relevant.
We are living in the era where things are changing a lot faster. New jobs are created while some jobs are made obsolete. There used to be bus conductors to collect our bus fare. This job is now obsolete. There were no app developers until recently.
As jobs change, the required skill sets also change. This means that you need to always be learning new skills and be aware of the changing world.
#2 Give back to society
Rihanna capitalized on her fame to do good. She had set up several non-profit organizations and participated in numerous fund raisers to bring awareness to those who are in need.

Born and raised in Barbados, she took a huge step out of her comfort zone at age 15. This decision changed her life completely and she became the superstar we all know today. She must be thrilled yet afraid at the same time, having to leave her family and familiarity for a totally new country.
